ABOUT
BARTOSZ NALEPA
“When I start a new painting it’s always a new beginning for me, like being born again with the same desire and the same faith, like another chance to see the world as I first saw it.
Painting is like traveling on the joined edges of my internal and external world with only one purpose: to represent the truth as an image, as a result, as a destination.
Painting is a diary entry of my own feelings and my paintings are my emotional landscapes with an intuitive choice of artistic tools. I rarely use a paintbrush and predominantly create with my own organic tools, which leave an organic trace of different types of bristles or grasses.
I am a worshipper of beauty and truth; I believe in a healing force of nature and its peaceful drama.
I am in a constant search for new ways of presenting the illusion of space. What inspires me is traveling through the wilderness, listening to the experimental music and studying Japanese woodblock print.
I work with improvising musicians and create live visual performances, this way I care for my intuition.
My art is a constant journey and countless re - births.”
